I was born on October 1978 in Düren. My interest for art and design came at the beginning of the 90‘s and developed its base on numerous art and culture projects, several exhibitions and various commissioned works. After finishing school, I came up and worked as a cabinet maker. While doing that I studied one year at the Academy of visual arts in NRW to go on to study product design at the University of Applied Sciences Aachen. During doing that I graduated a semester abroad in consumer product design at the Napier University in Edinburgh. After my Diploma I moved to Stuttgart where I worked at a design office. Additionally I did several freelance projects. I was looking for new challenges, searching for a chance to bring my ideas, my thinking and my design to the people.

In 2009 I went on and founded Wolfgang.Wergen.Design. Currently I am working on industrial design jobs for several customers. I also offer a rendering service for designer, architects and engineers and I do conceptual furniture design work. OK so far. Here we are...

My competences are based on my artistic background, my experiences as a cabinet maker and product designer. I came in touch with design disciplines like transportation design, toys, furniture, event, industrial design and the classic consumer product design. My favorite discipline? I don`t know. Each product has its soul and by working at it you always develop passion for every project. But if I have to decide I would choose furniture and home design.
